OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE

WHEN: There
are schedules of group class: One Week (almost every week)
Private and Semiprivate special scheduling is available on request at additional
cost. Check with the staff for other regularly scheduled courses.
COST: $200.00
PREREQUISITES: None
MINIMUM AGE: 10 years of age prior to start of course.
REQUIRED MATERIALS: PADI Open Water Student Kit and video or the PADI Open Water CD-ROM student kit.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Mask, Snorkel, fins, boots, and gloves. All other required equipment is provided during this course.
ASSIGNMENTS: Students must read each Module and complete the Knowledge Review and watch the video (class and pool portions) prior to the corresponding session. The Knowledge Reviews will be reviewed and collected during each class and become part of the student record.
SCHEDULE: The Open Water Course consists of five modules; consisting of a classroom and pool session, and four open water dives. The course is scheduled to be completed in 7 days, with 4 days for classroom/pool sessions, approximately 4 hours long each, and 2 days for the open water dives. The weekend format is done with all classroom/pool the first weekend and the 4 open water dives the second weekend.

The academic materials for the PADI Open Water Course come in two formats, either on CD-ROM, or as a textbook and video.
